This man pulled out in front of me today. I was going down 27th and he completely cut me off pulling out from the zoo parking lot. Had i not slammed on my brakes i would have smashed him. I had 3 kids in my car. He didnt even wave like "sorry my bad" nothing. Just gave me a dirty look when i took the picture. No regard for human life or anyone around him. Disgusting. I definitely dont feel safe with him on the road. 😡💩 The picture shows the truck number. Stay clear of this elderly driver.

They stopped our championship basketball game last night with 8 minutes left to play because the girl reff with the long blonde hair called technicals on us every time the boys opened their mouth. She was even yelling at parents on the sidelines. She has harassed out team all season, who gets 3-4 technicals in one game? Are we not allowed to talk to the reff's when we don't agree with a call? I feel she was racial profiling us because all of our team is multi-racial besides two white guys. Not like the other adult league teams playing. We have been members for over 7 years of the park and rec and have never seen anything like this happen. None of the other teams were treated like this, believe me I asked! There was also another guy reff that was calling technicals on us too, but was not there for the championship game. We tried to contact Monica at the park and rec about this and no one has responded to us. The guys on this team worked all year to get to the championship game just to have the reff call the game!!! Not FAIR to the guys at all!!! We paid a lot of money to play and get our own jerseys made for the team to be able to not finish the season is upsetting!!!

Lincoln Parks and Rec does a great job of imagining and maintaining such a vast array of amenities for the city of Lincoln. More miles of trail per capita, than Portland; Swimming pools, playgrounds, band shells, neighborhood parks, Holmes Lake, Wilderness Park, and an eclectic roster of programs and activities for all age groups. Truly a group of people passionate about Lincoln, and the landscape of our outside lives.

Yes you may. We're open from 8am to 430pm Monday thru Friday.
The majority of the population in this area does not see callery pear as a threat. Until they do, sadly, they will continue to use the plant. The P&R Dept has instituted a policy where we will no longer allow it as a street tree. It's a baby step, but a step nonetheless.
