I was visiting family for Thanksgiving and my sister invited me to go with her to buy a new singing bowl at Hound Dog Rock Shop. We called ahead to make sure they had the bowl. Driving to Clarence, Iowa on a sunny and unusually warm day in November was peaceful. Highway 30 is a beautiful, scenic drive. We walked into the shop and were greeted right away. The patrons were just as friendly as the shop merchants. The vibe there is like a warm embrace. Although we went there to buy a singing bowl for my sister's sound healing collection, we ended up buying gifts for many people on our list. The displays show where each rock or gemstone is from. The prices are shockingly reasonable. I can't wait to go back there and bring my two daughters!

I always have such a great time going and looking through everything they have to see. I always leave with treasures and both the owners are so nice. Their prices are excellent as well. I highly recommend making the drive to go see them.

The owners are incredibly helpful and so nice!! The shop feels welcoming to anyone and everyone it's a great experience. Also their collection is beautiful and they get new stuff in all the time. I love this place!!!
