Just before Johnson lake main access but on the opposite side of the road there is a light green colored house that is the ranger station you can go there and get a map of all the Lakes out of a box they have there.

Not 100% sure if it's at banner or the wooded area across 24. There is a check station in the area.

Never had much luck there but I do on the river at the ditch that goes back into shatawkua lake. And nice catfish in the lake by the wickets.

The lake is great for fishing. You will love it.

No restrictions you can bring beer but it has to be in a coozi so beer labels aren't visible and all aluminum and trash has to be cleaned up because the environmental protection agency owns the land and you can be arrested on site for littering ... There are cameras in the trees to prevent littering and other illegal actions

I am not sure but the state put several piles in the lake's. They were used Christmas trees. You will find several brush piles with a depth finder in all of the lakes.

Boat fishing is prohibited during waterfowl season, but bank fishing is allowed after 1 p.m. daily. Fishing is otherwise permitted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Not sure about deer season, I know it's bow only though.
