Find another route! Scariest bridge I have ever crossed! Loud, clanky, extremely narrow! And there is a second one right after it! Pray you make it across without anyone else going past!

Exciting and scary as heck. Bridge is in desperate need of repair. Extremely loud and rickety. Quite a long bridge. Could possibly cause stroke or heart attack. I cannot fathom why thrill seekers would want to jump. Would avoid if hauling heavy or wide loads.
The Black Sheep
Very narrow arched bridge where you have inches to spare. Pretty scary when semis driving on opposite lane. Even driving on it hundreds of times, still a bit frightening. But bridge still in fantastic condition. They close it for a couple of days to do maintenance work once in awhile. Very tight squeeze but it's a safe bridge.

An email from modot US 60/62 BRIDGE AT CAIRO Alexander County, Illinois Mississippi County, Missouri The Illinois Department of Transportation would like to alert motorists traveling in the Cairo area that the US 60/62 bridge over the Mississippi River will be restricting combination vehicles to 37 tons and single unit vehicle to 33 tons. The weight limit posting will take place on December 27, 2018 and take effect immediately. Repair plans are in progress, but no implementation plans are in place yet.
