WONDERFUL! ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! This place is just what a community needs. The little retail store is amazing. The staff is friendly and the vaccine prices are great! Love how they allow people from surrounding zip codes to shop here. I love this place and will always support it.

I've been there before 😂😀😂😀
Yes. You'll need to fill our the volunteer application and then attend an orientation
I have no clue don't have any pets.
Absolutely 💯
Yes they do accept those!
The shelter is an emergency & is not manned continuously. Most of the animals online are actually in foster homes. You should be contacted shortly by someone who has a pet that matches what you're interested in.
There's a vet nextdoor at Hillside Animal Hospital. Macklind and Manchester.
No. Cats over 4 months old are $75 Kittens are $100

We only do community service for minor traffic infractions at this time. Thank you
I know they do take donations. All of the things you said there. Not sure about the cats.
18 years old
Currently we for not have small dogs. Please check petfinder.com will list all shelters who has dogs for adoption
We do not have hedgehogs. Only cats and dogs. Thank you!
Where is the dog located
Unfortunately not at this time. We are only accepting volunteers 18 years +
I believe they are no kill but i don't think they take cats
The best place to look is on the website as our puppies are in foster homes. I believe we do. Gatewaypets.com is where you can look at all available then fill out an application and mention which ones you're interested in. We also have a matchmaker who takes what you're looking for and matches you up to a good fit.
Yes, every donation helps a dog or cat in our shelter and foster !
Your best bet would be to contact your local animal control if the cats/kittens have to be picked up. Shelters are FULL of cats though and many are euthanized for lack of space, so you could also contact St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach (or other similar organizations depending on where you live) and TNR the cats. This stands for Trap, Neuter and Release. Basically, organizations will trap and fix the cats for free so they aren't reproducing and return them to their outdoor home. This is really the most humane option in many cases. Thanks for caring!!!
Our organization is dedicated to East St. Louis and the surrounding communities like Cahokia, Alorton, etc. I would contact St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach for assistance!
Where is the dog located?
Please reach out to us via email. We ask that all animals adopted from us that cannot be kept for whatever reason be returned to us since we have an established relationship with that animal. Thank you
For insurance reasons you would not be able to volunteer in the shelter or with the animals. If you have an idea that wouldn't involve being IN the shelter it may be a possibility
It is no kill
No. $195 for puppies and $150 for adults and they come fully vetted. You can't get a dog fully vaccinated, chipped and fixed for less than that at a vet, so definitely a great deal.
Fill out application and pay adoption fee
You should call the area rescues near you. The APA and Humane Society are open admission. The other rescues are not open admission so you would need to call them and find out if they have room.
