The staff was very nice and helpful. Nice and clean as well. We was looking for a small dog and they only had bigger ones when I went. But beautiful well taken care of.

After reading the reviews I felt it necessary to take a few min to let people know about the experience I had with Franklin County animal control. I live in Royalton and I have a husky. These dogs have a lot of energy and need to run everyday. If you don't give them the running time they need then they will find a way to get it on their own, by any means. After he learned how to open the screen door on his own my husband built a fence. It wasn't long before he figured out how to jump off the tree like a ninja to run around. He never really bothered anybody but I understand he does look like a wolf and it's the law. So when animal control showed up the other day as me and husband were trying to get him home. I wasn't surprised. The first thing they said was, "yep, it's a husky." They gave me the opportunity to get him home myself and told me they could let this go with a warning. The let me try to catch him for a little over an hour when they finally said I'm sorry but we're gonna have to tranquillize him. I said I understand as I started to cry. They were very very kind and talked me through the whole thing. At one point even making me smile when they said he's just been hanging out at Critters, our local bar, and he's just a little drunk. I could not have asked for anything better. They did a great job. So I would really like to say to them, Thank You. You are very appreciated and I am grateful.

This shelter is horrible. They deserve to be closed. I went there today and there was poop everywhere. They were just sitting in the office on their phones. I noticed a dog with blood all over it’s kennel and I went and told one of the people there. They said that they took him to the vet and got him meds but didn’t even move to go clean the blood. These people don’t care about the animals there. They all are filthy. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!

Just to kill?
They will accept them. Do you have the mom with them?
Does he bite, do you know whose dog it is? Franklin County Animal Control sounds like your best bet,
I have an idea. Why dont you find it a good home? That innocent animal doesn't deserve to die just because he had the unfortunate luck of meeting you.
Only during a special clinic. I believe it's at the end of Summer.
Put up a fence.
