So, these have been my experiences with the Springfield Clinic over the past two years. First in June 2021, I got my second shot of the Shingrix vaccine and the nurse injected me in the bursa instead of the muscle. My shoulder still hurt six weeks later and I had to go to the Orthopedic Clinic and was put on prednisone for nine days. Of course the Clinic charged me to correct their mistake. Next, in February 2022, I went in for my yearly lab tests and the lab forgot to run the PSA test. Then in August 2022, I went to see a urologist (Amanda Ruyle-Ryan) for prostate issues. She continued to put me on Tamsulosin even thought I had reported side effects in the past. After a couple of weeks of taking the Tamsulosin with continued bloody sinuses, I called the Clinic to tell them that I was having bad side effects. The first time I called, my call was dropped. The second time, it was transferred to Amanda's building and then dropped. The third time I was able to talk to someone, but she wasn't Amanda's nurse. She said that she would have the nurse call me back. She never called back. So, I quit taking the Tamsulosin and the next day my sinuses stopped bleeding. I had a follow-up appointment scheduled with Amana Ruyle-Ryan, but I cancelled it because they didn't care enough to call me back when I was having a bad reaction. I have noticed that both doctors and pharmacists really push Tamsulosin and they don't want to hear anything negative about it.

Called to make a appointment to get my eyes checked. They are trying to charge an appointment fee, a refraction fee, then a fitting fee. Call anyone else in town and you will not pay all these fees. $125 with insurance is what they wanted to charge. I hate this because Dr. Young is extremally wonderful and helpful. Just not worth the extra they are charging. I can go anywhere else in town and get the same service for less without insurance.
