Imagine this…minutes away from your destination, your car with less than 50k miles starts shaking and the Chablis stabilization light comes on. Concerned, you have it towed to the nearest BMW Service Center and are told your power steering rack needs to be replaced. You are also told by BMW that it won’t be covered under warranty because the rack failure is not due to the rack itself failing but but because the tire rods that were installed on your vehicle less than a year ago were installed incorrectly. And the tie rods were installed at BMW Myrtle Beach. You call BMW Myrtle Beach and ofcourse they say they are not at fault and if the cause was due to improper installation, then more issues would have been than reported. Blah, blah, blah… This is my story and $6,500 later, I have a new rack for my BMW but I will never return to BMW Myrtle Beach for service ever again. This is the same service center where a little more than a year ago, I paid for a repair the advisor stated was not covered under warranty, and it turned out to be covered under warranty but he never submitted a claim. I have no confidence in BMW Myrtle Beach. I would not bring my car back or recommend repairs at this BMW facility. I highly recommend Wilmington BMW in the Grand Strand for workmanship and dependability you can trust.

I tried my best to negotiate a deal with management on my new 2022 toyota tocoma that every where else I went offered 33-36 thousand for, a real nice truck, every book I looked at backed up 33-36k for my truck with new truck shell and running boards aswell. Their offer was 30k. I did trade with them one time before and lost a lot on trade in then also on my 2020 jeep grand cherokee. If I remember correctly it was a loss of 3k under book then aswell. The sells person tom was very nice and tried to talk with management for me, but they would not negotiate at all. They said I could sell it to others then buy their 2015 silverado with 38k miles on it. Don't get me wrong the truck is nice, but it's 8 years older than mine, and way more miles. If you read more reviews you will see others with trade in problems. My wife is going to buy a new x3 in the next few months although her 2018 top model mkz only has 30k on it and in A1 shape, We will be going to wilimington bmw or some where else to get a better deal. I suggest the same for others. Just as a example I tried to buy a 2021 80th anniversary jeep grand cherokee from jeep in myrtle beach and could not deal with them ether on their price of their vehicle. So I found the same vehicle but it had 4 wheel drive, where as the one at myrtle beach did not, and I saved 8k on the deal, and they both were new. It seems a lot of the dealers in nc don't do mark ups over manufacturers sr.

No help with the issues I had with my BWW while working with BMWs National Headquarters. They are overpriced for items like a cabin fitter change on a 7-Series. A$25 part at O’Reily which was better than the one they charge $210 for at their parts counter, plus $150 to replace. I changed it in literally 10 minutes following a YouTube video. They should were a mask when the commit attempted robbery.

As with most dealers and service centers. They would likely charge you for a diagnostic check. Unsure if the exact cost if out of warranty though.
