A trust is a type of ownership structure that allows a third party or trustee to hold title to assets on behalf of a beneficiary or multiple beneficiaries. The trustee administers the trust according to the terms of the governing trust document. Midland can act as your trustee or can assist with the administration of the trust by acting as an agent for the trustee. In this role, Midland provides investment management services to the trust and holds title to other assets, such as real estate or non-marketable investments. We can also pay bills and transfer funds on behalf of the trust, assist with the preparation of the trust tax return, and perform other administrative duties. Midland provides investment services to individuals, corporations, charities, and IRA accounts.
