I came in hope of seeing some shore birds. Sadly, they had moved on. But I was still able to pick up 30 differnt bird species while doing the short trail. It is a nice gravel trail snaking through the woodd with several spots to stop and enjoy the view of the lake. A few stops also as llow one to just sit and enjoy the sounds of the forest.

Questions & Answers

When are migrations expected?

You can find.most of the migratory birds there or in other area near most any time of year. Not all the birds go to the north for the summer. Some stop here for ghe nesting and feeding sources. I photograph the birds all year long in the area. Try banner marsh conservation area or emicon. You will have a great time there.
