Recently my husband and I had the unfortunate experience of putting an offer in on a home this agency represented. Unknown to us this home was staged for a quick sale and had extensive damage. This agency's response was they were unaware. Based on feedback from the inspector that statement is not possible. We did not go forward with the sale but lost thousands on due diligence and costs related as it put us without a home for over a month. This agency would not respond to our request for a refund due to the outstanding damages that were unreported. Damages to the home were estimated at over 75k making the home not worth the purchase. Agent reported that an offer had been made prior, had an inspection but loan did not go through. (no wonder) Their response was to apologize for the inconvenience but oh well!!! We lost 5k on due diligence and almost 10k with expenses incurred due to homelessness and storage. This agency has been reported but refuses to respond. I guess then they would have to take some responsibility. We are an older couple who worked hard all our lives for what little we have. We could little afford this kind of financial slap. It's shameful!! Its all about the money.....YOURS!! Before you work with this agency read the reviews, understand that there is no trust and you are on your own as this agency plays on the NC rules that only protect the seller. If you make a purchase and it works out I assume its just plain luck!!! Mr. McDonald was aware of the extensive damages to this home and chose to misrepresent. This agency is reported to the Better Business Bureau, Real Estate Commision and Governors office. By your deception you put our family in financial debt. You have chosen to ignore and not take responsibility. Not a good agent but very good at covering your tracks. Unfortunate as KW is a good agency just not this office.Very very poor!!!!!!! DO NOT TRUST THEM. Especially Mr. McDonald. I am making a concerted effort to make sure it gets out to as many as possible and to every media I can find. You Mr. McDonald need to be held accountable.

The buyer that purchased my house used Fletcher Johnson as their realtor and needless to say was a complete joke. He ignored messages and calls from my realtor, he gave the buyer wrong information and left them in the dark on so much that it almost cost them the purchase. Stipulations for closing we’re NOT followed as instructed and he just did what he wanted. I would NEVER recommend him especially as a 1st time buyer. My realtor is the one who deserved the entire commission not this guy. His bio does not match the services the buyer received that’s for sure!

Questions & Answers

My question is how this agency gets away with listing staged homes with excessive damage in order to make a dollar off unsuspecting buyers???

Mr. McDonald admitted in writing to the Real Estate Commision that he was aware of the prior inspection report and the extent of the damages. He chose to misrepresent the homes condition to unsuspecting buyers.

Is it true that your agency does not inspect visually a home before listing??

Mr. McDonald did view the home and was aware of the extensive damages. He dishonestly misrepresented the home

This agency did. Buyer beware.

What is the charge for background checks?

It varies on several different things. How many names you've had, places you've lived, criminal records. And several other things.
