Np Jones use to be a decent person to care about her patients but in the past few yrs she doesn't give a care. She leaves me w/o my medication for months. She refuses to fill my blood pressure med for months. I'm usually out of it for 4 months before she fill it with one refill. She has the i dont care attitude and doesn't want to be bother. She has canceled my appts 3 times in a few week time an acts like oh who cares your not important. She needs to get out of the medical field. She tells me to just go to patient first or the hospital. The VA don't respond to you for weeks and then say oh well we don't see where you have ever been on any meds.

I writing this for my fellow brothers and sisters, so that they know what to expect when they become assigned to this location. (Wingman Concept) I just moved here from Dayton Ohio, which in my opinion, has the best veteran care support system. I am now assigned to this location, which is sad to say, is a far distant last place in comparison to Dayton. If you are a veteran in search of care, try over the counter meds from a convenience store, do not come here. They do not care. You are treated with little to no dignity, in regard to the sacrifices you have given. If you need an appointment, your appointment is scheduled for 3 to 4 months away. You are advised to go to the ER if you need help. For myself, I just needed a form signed so that I can get disabled tags from my car. I have very bad knees and a bad hip, and sometimes I have to use a cane to get in and out of my car. In the past, I had disabled tags on my vehicle, but when I got this new car, the dealer issued standard tags, so now I have to reapply for DV tags. Well, the doctor wont sign the form because he says that I haven't been seen at this location enough times to justify a reason for him to sign the form. Their system does not communicate with other systems so they have no way of viewing my past care at Dayton or other veteran hospitals that I have been assigned to. Not to mention that I am also total and permanently disabled with no job, and on a fixed income, with countless injuries (to many to list) but that doesn't warrant his signature to help a veteran that's eligible for state supported benefits such as DV plates. It's such a shame to have to prove your ailments to a system that is supposed to support your ailments. Good Luck to anyone that needs care or support at this location. I miss the good ole days when the VA actually cared for people. **UPDATE** Shortly after making this post, on 11/30/21, I received a call from the clinic to have "Provider Physical Exam" for 12/3/21 at 9 am, for a form signature for DV plates. I expressed to the scheduler that It seemed odd to need an exam, just to receive a signature on a form, for a veteran that is "total and permanently disabled" moreover, having already had DV plates previously. Also, I expressed my dissatisfaction of taking an appointment-time slot, from a veteran that could benefit from the time of physician to treat his/her ailment. (Wingman Concept). Lastly, I live roughly 20 miles away, and given VA Beach/Chesapeake/Norfolk a.m. traffic, it would be an ordeal to make it there by 9 a.m. I asked if I could do virtual instead, for the sake of time management for both the provider and myself. I was informed by the scheduler that the physician wanted to see me personally. She agreed that the manner did "seem strange" but this was the only viable way to get the form completed. Reluctantly, I accepted with the date given (12/03/21 @ 0900). I conveyed my dissatisfaction to the scheduler and asked if she would relay them to the physician. I was keenly aware to remain polite and professional while talking to the scheduler, besides, she's just the messenger. On the morning of the appointment, after sitting in traffic for nearly 1 &1/2 hrs, sum ten minutes away from the clinic, I received a call at 0845 from the clinic to reschedule my appointment...the "Dr. called in sick", and would not be there. I was upset. Time is a valuable resource. I make a very conscious effort to respect a members' time. I expressed my feeling to the nurse. I was stern when I spoke with her, but I still remained professional. Again, she's just the messenger. She too, agreed this appointment "seem odd" and informed me to continue to the clinic. When I arrived to clinic, my form had already been signed by another physician, not my primary phsician. This Dr signed it, only needed to see the included VA disability letters. I later spoked with the nurse that called. She was professional, kind and courteous. She apologized for the inconvenience. I thanked her for her time and kindness and left.

Faster service than the main VA in Hampton. Still hard to get appointments and you cannot get all care here.
