Donation of what? There is no pay for donations, that's why it's called a donation.

No. I volunteer with the Red Cross but not in the Blood donation program
The Red Cross offers to it's clients that have suffered a disaster, "immediate needs". Funds to use for food shelter and clothing. A house fire for example where you are displaced, is one situation where assistance is given. The Red Cross does not offer actual replacement costs for lost food or household items. That's what insurance is for. The funds given though can be used for whatever is needed for your recovery. Lodging, food, clothes, cleanup items, gas, etc. can be items you will need to start your recovery. In a larger disaster like a tornado, flood, storm a shelter may be opened to assist with needs.
