Staff was very friendly and informative. Prices were slightly higher than my local Fuquay 'pawn shop' but the smaller atmosphere and lower sales volume model of Tar River Arms compared to other gun shops was a fair tradeoff to the pricing. The purchasing registration process is electronic and does not require physical paperwork, which is a modern touch. They were honest with the price/justification they could offer me on my used firearm trade in and every detail of the transaction was ok. I had to bring my small children that day of purchase, and they even have an old school NBA Jam video game and some candy to help keep the little ones preoccupied while Dad shops. I would recommend this shop.
