What a relaxing two weeks in paradise! The cabins are nestled in the woods with great shade and fantastic access to the lake. The swim area is perfect for little ones and adults alike with ideal shallow end that extends all the way to the end of the dock. The cabins are great if rent together or separate as each place has everything required for a relaxing lake stay. Each place has a dedicated fire pit and chairs to enjoy the beautiful, quiet northern Michigan nights. Owners could not be more accommodating and available. They make sure that the cabin and the grounds feel like yours unless you need them for something. As stated in other reviews, access to Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island fairy, and the Wilderness State Park are super quick (under ten minutes). Short drive to Indian River activities (tubing, rafting, kayaking). We have stayed at Carp Lake every summer since 2014 and this has been our favorite location on the lake so far.

Great experience last summer at Crooked Tree Cabins. The lodgings are rustic but well appointed. The owner was really nice and helpful. We had one or two cloudless nights and the sky over the water was spectacular. I haven't seen that many stars in a long time.
