Went to the observation deck to watch the airplanes take on and come in and it was disappointing there's a couple overgrown trees or trees that are just really tall so you can't really see much

Nice place to go watch the runway. Only reason for the four stars is because at the time we went there the airport was not using the runway that the overlook faced. Looks like construction is currently underway.

Its a great thought to have a deck like this. But the height is not much and more importantly, there is a plane hanger in the front which kind of blocks the view

Don't walk,take an uber. Or 🚕 perhaps. You can walk But it will take 20 minutes or so. And there are not anymore sidewalks between these terminals and the observation deck.

Yup, held my birthday party there. Unofficially Playground for kids. Bathrooms. Great view of setting sun. Hidden gem
They are most likely to be landing and taking off on the runway that's not under construction for safety reasons
You can either go through the observation deck area, or go through the parking booths to get a ticket to get in, then you can drop them off at the 2nt floor. The 1st floor is just for arrivals/baggage claim. If your still not sure how to drop off someone, you can always go on Google maps to help you navigate.

I don't recall any signs prohibiting it but it's a small space with lots of noise and little kids so I personally feel it's not a great place to take a dog.
Only way I would know is to go in the terminal but you would have to pay for parking and deal with a partial view. 5L is the longer runway which supports larger aircraft as Boeing 767 (FedEx, Delta) and 777 (American) which arrive and depart daily. This is viewable from the Observation Park.
