Great automotive service
M Q (Frosty)
Long waits, forgot the oil change sticker had to go back in and get it. The lady at the service desk was great though.

Had a great experience with the assistant manager. He was truly a great help.

I've bought car parts and other items such as batteries at Walmart for many years. A friend was having car problems so I tested her battery and found that it was defective. I tried to charge it and my prognosis was correct -- bad battery. So I drove over to Wal-mart and swapped out the battery for a replacement as I have done dozens of times over the past several decades. However, in this case the new battery turned out to be defective. After I installed it in the vehicle the battery would not crank or start the car. I tested the battery and it held zero charge and the diagnostic tool indicated the battery was unable to be charged. I verified this quickly by attempting to charge the battery. No go. So I took the battery back to Walmart where they stated that they couldn't swap the battery out; rather, it would need to be charged to verify that the battery was bad. THIS TOOK THEM OVER FIVE HOURS AND I HAD TO WAIT THERE. This is terrible service -- if you need to return an article of clothing at the store, you simply swap it out no problem. It's the same with batteries at other stores. I even have the diagnostic tools to verify that a battery is bad but apparently this store doesn't. They also do this strange thing where you can enter the automotive area from the outside but they won't let you exit. That meant that I had to carry a defective battery, dripping acid, several hundred yards, through the store and into the parking lot and around the building. This was dangerous in and of itself! After hours of waiting, they gave me a new battery and I was on my way. My friend had to missa half day of work for no good reason -- if I could have swapped the battery, she'd have been on her way. I don't understand this level of poor service. During all of this there did not appear to be a service manager present. This was honestly the worst experience I've had at a Walmart Auto Care Center in decades.
