We were pretty dissatisfied with our experience. The food was really disappointing- overwhelming spices and flavorings in the pastas, steak was cooked poorly then took an excessive amount of time to replace. Sides were so so. Ambiance was good, drinks were fabulous. Management was gracious in their handling of the issues but we will likely not return for dinner. I would definitely come back for a cocktail!

The food was delicious and the service, top notch. The staff, especially Zach, were very sensitive and careful about food allergies. We drove in from Memphis for a college tour and the welcome we received at Char definitely started our experience in Nashville off well.

Great place! The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because: 1. The booth we were sitting at had a huge tear in it. Looked like a couch cushion I've had in my home for 15 years plus. That can easily be fixed. 2. Ordered the Ribeye while the beef itself was stellar it LACKED flavor, had to add my own salt to it. No big deal but you could tell is was not seasoned before it was grilled. Overall, it was still a great place and will definitely give it another go!

I am absolutely IN LOVE with CHAR!!!! Crab claws are my favorite and The Beefeater! Great staff and great food!
