Country Kitchen Brewster had good food, but terrible service. When we arrived for dinner, the restaurant was virtually empty (except for two cops sitting in the back and a group of gardeners sitting in front). My friend and I had ridden 60 miles on our bicycles along the Empire State Trail that day and were exhausted. We came in with our helmets, gear, and saddle bags. The manager or owner made us wait for several minutes while she was on the phone and then assigned us the smallest table (seating two) out of more than a dozen available. While we ate, I noticed two other customers (both single white men) arrive separately and get assigned to the biggest tables (seating four). My friend and I are both Asian-American and wondered if our ethnicity had anything to do with the hostile service we received.

This place was really amazing. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious! Whenever I’m in town I will definitely have to stop by again!

Where can I start, this place was absolutely fantastic! Starting with a great staff, Alex was so nice and personal giving us great service! And the food...WOW! We had a hot roast beef sandwich and it was one of the best I've ever had! And the place has a great atmosphere. This is definitely a hidden gem! We are definitely coming back!!
