Very quiet and peacfull. The place did not disappoint. Camp ground staff was very friendly and made there rounds through out the day. 10 out of 10. We will definitely be returning soon

I would call and ask we went camping like 3 weeks ago there and the only thing that wasn't working was their water supply and we couldn't have a camp fire unless we had a propane firepit. Keep in mind there is no more direct access to the potholes from the campground so you have to hike around the campground but it's an easier hike in my opinion.
Yes pets are welcomed!
Check out time is noon. I arrived At 12:30 on a Monday and there were many vacancies.
First come first serve
Yes there is. Right off of 88 before the lodge turnout and one at the lodge too I beleive
We were there a couple of weeks ago, morning temps were 34, it would depend on your comfort level. We will camp into the 20's but we have a better tent and a heater.
If you're looking for hookups. Plasse's resort offers them at Silver Lake.
Hi, no reservations first come first serve. Maximum six people per site one vehicle is included with your fees each additional vehicle there's a separate fee. some sites will accommodate two vehicles if not we have an overflow area that's provided. Maximum 3/10 and 2 pets per site. www.eid.org
Yes they are open. With water
Nope, neither campgrounds are open yet. There was so much snow this winter, they're still cleaning up and cutting fallen trees. Not sure when they'll open. Check out El Dorado irrigation website.
So I talked to them today. They advised me to check there Facebook page for updates. They are working on opening. If the weather warms up. It should not take too long...
The fishing is fairly good. Kayaks paddle boards are allowed on the lake. The best place to fish is by the inlet. Located close to the granite lake trailhead. yes pets are allowed they are required to be on a leash not to exceed 6 ft.
There is no restrictions you can swim all you want
Silver lake west is 30 a night Silver Lake East is 24 Hope this helps
That's not 100% true you can get to the potholes from camp ground but it's a longer hike and there is no clear trails. Also the camp ground does not want people hiking to potholes from there if you stay at campgrounds just pull back out on 88 go right and park just past the bridge there is a trail takes 10 minutes and you will find potholes. There is no reservation it's first come and phone number doesn't seem to go to camp host but is a general info recording hope that helps.if you are adventurous and want to hike from camp grounds start from the sunset trail go north west as much as you can you will go up and down many small peaks eventually you will want to go hard left more west but its a harder longer hike me and my girlfriend are pretty adventurous and hiked from the sunset trail we never made it to potholes but could see them we were trying to get further north where a second river below the potholes river meets up and makes one bigger river it's pretty strenuous hike though
It should be, but I highly suggest making reservations on their website just in case.
Yes, but would not recommend a trailer larger than 30 ft, or a motor home larger than 35 ft. Tight turns and low branches. See the website for specifications on their recommendations.
