Hi there! While this isn't the best place to ask, I hope I can still help you! So, it seems you're already dead set on going Apple, the cheapest option would be the MacBook Air. It starts at $1099. That's pretty pricey for one of their cheapest offerings, but hey, Apple tax. Luckily though, most things Apple are pretty reliable! Although I haven't gone through AP courses related to a medical career, the ones I have gone through didn't require a MacBook, so if you're open to suggestions on the Windows side of laptops, I can help with that as well. But if you're still siding with MacOS, then because you don't need anything too beefy, one of your best bets would be on the MacBook Air. Of course, this doesn't mean you shouldn't go into a physical store and test drive them yourself! This way you will get a physical sense of the machine as well, and you'll know if that size, screen, weight, etc is something you will be fine with on a day-to-day basis. True. Sukhjinder is correct, its really unnecessary to make an appointment. Apple has plenty of staff with plenty of room for you to just show up with no appointment. I have had to wait in line but that was only during the mandated quarantine. I went on a busy day during a busy hour and no line.

Each store has it's own weird quirky sometimes outlandish policies and even though they are written somewhere they seem as though they shift and change from person to person so all you can do is be honest have as much of the original packaging as you can find and seriously , unless you have a receipt or proof of purchase I wouldn't waste the trip to the store
