I initially gave Troy Farms 5 stars under the old management, but sadly I can’t say that about the current Troy Farms. There are individuals on staff who are friendly and helpful, and the actual moving out process was smooth. I appreciate the reasonable treatment during and after that process. However, it was extremely disappointing, frustrating, and left me feeling disrespected during the couple of months leading up to leaving. There were quite a few things that bothered me about the way the new management operated that felt disingenuous at best, but I’ll speak specifically about what happened during the aforementioned months. We would receive notices on our door every other week it felt like trying to call us out on things that were either never a problem before or not actually accurate/truthful of us. The most disconcerting incident was when they left a notice on our door with no other communication saying our dogs (which were on our lease and had been for two years) were illegal and that if we didn’t remove them from the premises we would essentially be evicted. This happened to several of my neighbors as well which I know because there were at least three of us who had to go down to the office and wait for them to come back only for them to try to brush it off saying that they just wanted to make sure they had the right information because their files were incomplete after management changed (not our fault and at this point it had been around a year since they took over). They were deflective and utterly unapologetic. That interaction alone made me want to leave right then and there. It was interesting that all of these incidents started piling up right after we told them we were not renewing our lease. There was a huge ant problem too which didn’t get resolved. Their pest management was ineffective, especially because there were gaps under our door and a couple of windows that made for a higher electric bill and ants galore. They need to invest in their current community and treat their residents with care before trying to make all of these unnecessary “upgrades” to try to draw in new residents while ignoring the feedback of their current and previous tenants.

I've lived at Troy Farms Apartments through different management companies. THIS ONE IS THE BEST! The staff ~ Becky, Melissa, and Dawn are professional and friendly and ALWAYS give dog treats to our 4 legged friends! The office has great gift giveaways and really try to give back to the residents. The community is in a nice neighborhood so I feel safe,and I enjoy the walking paths around the lakes.
