To truly understand the gratitude I have for this place you have to have experienced the life I has before I came through the Refuge. Living in a trap house, lots and lots of drugs, skin and bones and no one to call a friend. I now have brothers and a life. I’m trusted to rent a house. I have a nice car. I have a bank account with actual money in it. Most importantly I have a relationship with Christ and I’m truly happy.

I have never been here, but I hear great things.

I was at The Refuge for a little over 2 months. I was in second phase when I had a medical emergency and was in turn asked to leave the program. If you are injured or become seriously ill, just be prepared to be asked to leave without notice.
