Very disappointed for $85 per hour. The engineer was respectful but the sound quality is horrible. I couldn’t put this on the radio. My song is all over the place. It doesn’t sound compressed and has no gel. I wasn’t in a booth, I was in an open space for bands. I’m a hip hop artist not Nickleback. I don’t think they specialize in Hip Hop, either that or they don’t want Hip Hop in there. The engineer seemed “concerned” for his welfare throughout my presence there. Sorry , but I wasn’t there to shoot up the place or rob it. I just wanted a DOPE recording experience for the price and honestly, I didn’t get it.- Yaboi Rich Ones

This is a next level studio with next level staff. If you want a next level recording experience this is the spot.

I work for an upscale senior living community and am always trying to find new places for the residents to explore. I fell upon this and what a gift I was given! 25 + ladies entered the studio ready to learn all about Shock City Studios…. Drew was absolutely amazing … very knowledgeable explaining in detail how the entire process works …. Gave examples , was patient, kind and answered questions so a lay person could understand ! Finally , he allowed a group of seniors to perform a song and all though we sounded pretty good, Drew made us sound even better as he tweaked our performance ever so slightly !! I still have residents telling me how fun they had on their outing…. I had no idea how the day was gonna go but I couldn’t have asked for anything better as it was just a fantastic morning!! Very professional very personable and absolutely top notch!! We appreciated your efforts and thanks so much for your time! If you are in the entertainment business, it is certainly worth your time to check it out! It will be well worth it !

What a nice discovery! I needed to make a demo for a voiceover audition and Shock City was recommended to me. Very professionally run, excellent equipment, and the engineer who worked with me was top-notch. (And don't tell them, but their studio fee is very reasonable 🤫) They are located on Gravois Rd., almost downtown, but close to Jefferson.

You would have to have a pretty impressive portfolio/history to get a job here at 14. I agree with the previous person, maybe internship around college age...maybe.
If they are something we are looking for
Feel free to stop by and ask some questions!
About $70 -$80 an hour. It just depends on what you need. They make you book a minimum of 2 hours.
The guys at Shock City are amazing. They'd take great care of you and your music.
Sure thing. We would prefer to work with a fully tracked out instrumental (each element as their own .wav file) but we can work with a stereo file if needed. Feel free to call if you have further questions!
As long as you are accompanied by a legal guardian that's fine.
Hi I dont believe there is an age ristriction for recording but you may have to have your mom or legal gaurdian present to conduct the legal aspects of session recording in terms payments, signature's etc.
Their price includes the producer well worth it.
