Came here for a Destination Wedding. Old formal lobby is wonderful. We had a suite, which was lovely but definitely needs to be upgraded. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean but furniture, rugs very outdated. Kitchen was great and fully stocked to make a full meal. I only gave it 3 stars because of the wedding manager, Mary. She was horrific, sent the bride home crying the eve of her wedding. She was rude and obnoxious to the groom and maid of honor at 10:30-11pm on the eve of their wedding, which I witnessed. Complaining she had to get out of bed to deal with them! The rest of the staff were wonderful. Vince and Cookie during the wedding were great.

The hotel staff is both very friendly and helpful. The hotel room is big, spacious, private (not able to hear anyone from other rooms) and most of all clean. the balcony facing the beach is a wonderful touch an I was able to enjoy seeing the beach and both the sun setting is beautiful and the moon shinning on the ocean is equally beautiful. Eating at the restaurant in the hotel for breakfast was delicious with warm food and the bacon was crispy with the scrambled eggs are delicious.

This hotel is wonderful. The room was the cleanest hotel room I think I have ever been in. The front desk was fast and friendly during check in and check out. The view from my ocean front room was so nice. Older style windows did obstruct the view a tiny bit, but not really a problem. The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious with a nice variety to accomodate any pallet and price. Afternoon tea was a pleasant surprise and delicious as well. The indoor pool was very nice, but could have been just a little warmer. I would definitely stay here again.

For the price it did not meet our expectations. The pool was great and people at desk were friendly. Once you entered the room it was a normal room. You paid for the view. The small table and chairs were worn and dry rotted. My biggest complaint was the ceilings over the bed. Nasty! The bathroom sink had a problem with the drain stopper. Beds were okay. It isa little noisy from the hall. Thin walls. Tea time was nice. Wanted fresh cup of coffee. It was $3 (very small cup) a cup from the lobby/restaurant. The microwave makes a very loud noise. For the price and what you get, I doubt we will be back. We have pics, not sure how to upload on this site.

Its at the very end of the board walk. Its on the beach and every room is ocean front
Our family stayed their this past September. We loved it. Very large rooms. On site food shops. Outside gift shops. On boardwalk. Train goes by in season to ride from one end to other . Large balconies as well.
Negative. I do know the Holiday Inn Express on Ocean Gateway is pet friendly, however.
Hi Joann - the Victorian Room and Zippy Lewis Lounge are on-site and offer coastal cuisine and guest favorites! Buxys Salty Dog is just about a block away and Mother’s Cantina is in our block as well. Within driving distance there are too many restaurants to name, and it also depends on when you’re visiting. Our guest service staff can make some wonderful recommendations based on what you’re looking for. We hope this helps!
I stayed in Dunes Manor. All rooms are oceanfront. If you get a deluxe room, you are guaranteed to stay between the 8-11th floors. I was on the 11th floor. The views are spectacular and it's extremely quiet. Only the wind, the seagulls, and the ocean. I could not hear the people on the beach
Hi David and thank you for your question. Floors 2-8 have a tub and shower combo, floors 9-11 have walk-in showers only. So if you would like to book a room only with a glass walk-in shower we suggest you ask for a room available on the 9th, 10th or 11th floor. Thanks so much and look forward to your stay with us!
The hotel is a little old but the rooms are clean andvthe beds are comfortable. All rooms are toward the ocean. As far as I know, the pool is indoor and there is no poolside room.
Yes
The hotel does not rent out beach chairs and umbrellas unfortunately. As everyone else has said, there are plenty of vendors on the boardwalk and right outside the hotel that will rent those items to you.
Hi Darlene, we are pausing our treasured afternoon tea until it’s once again safe to welcome large groups. We’re looking forward to the day we can bring it back!
