My mom and I took a day-cationed to the tea room. We were greated with friendly staff that not only complemented my mom's dress, but after learning it was our first time, made sure we had excellent seating. Our waitress was sweet and extremely knowledgeable of the different teas. A whole different waitress than our own made sure we got a picture with the queen. The food was delicious as we well the tea. The whole experience was so much fun! We will be returning soon!

They do not serve alcohol.
There are different levels. Just a pot of tea, a full high tea (the Prince William High Tea) with all the sandwiches, scones, desserts, etc. and a scaled back high tea which is about the same but with lower quantities of each food. My wife and I got the scaled back high tea (the Windsor High Tea) for one person and an extra pot of tea and it was enough for both of us. Our total bill was $39.02 plus tip.
Depends on whether you eat from the menu or high tea. The menu...$10 -20 with drink and tip. High tea $29.95 or higher...
