Got off plane in Newark and headed for shore! First stop was Bahrs in Atlantic Highlands! Had a perfect soft shell crab sandwich! Perfectly breaded and fried, no grease taste, beautiful white, sweet crab meat. Fries were crispy, weather perfect on porch...left full!

this place is really kitchy and the decor is fun The Jersey lobster roll is delicious. So is the crab cake was a little disappointed in the fried calamari because I did ask if it included tentacles and the bartender said it's pretty much half and half but there really wasn't a lot of tentacles Three rating because the bartender was super unfriendly and at one point offensive. I don't think he's in the best of moods these days 🤣. for me it's important to feel welcomed.

I was grossly disappointed in the quality and presentation of the food. The clam chowder was cold, the lobster roll had no taste and the bread was hard. I was disappointed because I expected better, especially given the high price. I remember saying to the waiter that I have had excellent lobster rolls in New England and hope this is good. I gave three because the service was good. The waiter apologized about the soup. She said she would have taken back the food had I complained earlier. I chose not because everything was bad and realized we made a bad choice to eat there. The ambiance is good and that was what pulled us there.

The seafood was amazing. Super fresh. Service was a little slow but otherwise great. For 2 people with an appetizer and clam chowder it came to about $125, no alcohol drinks.

Yes you can. And they'll even deliver to your boat!!!
No, but their regular menu caters to most desires.
They do have German food and its awesome!
If you're planning to captain the boat, the rental place next door is Schubert's. They have a couple of party fishing boats that leave at 7:30am. Seastreak Ferry charges$27 for the sightseeing fare which goes to Pier 35 in Manhattan. You get an excellent view of NY Harbor including the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street and a few of our Beautiful bridges. You don't get off the boat, but on a clear day we'll worth it. $27 is there and back! Enjoy!!!!! Tell them Ed sent ya!!!
I always order what I want. I have never have any issue ordering dinner items for lunch.
I'm not sure whether they have a Mother's Day brunch. It would be best to call them to be sure.
