Great experience all around except the grumpy seafaring expert yelling commands wildly from the pier upon return. (I get it Sir, I suck at docking boat in a tsunami, you win) The staff was awesome from rental to end. The paperwork process was tight I may ask them to help do my taxes. Definitely will be back

Highly recommend Jason and his team. He worked with us to insure we got a boat powerful enough to pull slalom skiers and he delivered it to our dock. He was responsive and flexible, even allowing us to keep the boat a bit longer than we initially scheduled. The prices are great and he maintains the boats well. Have to add it also nice to deal with an owner that clearly takes pride in their business and making customers happy.

I'm struggling to write this review. I booked a boat 2 months in advance and then 2 weeks in advance, I added an additional day (Friday) getting the boat one day earlier then expected. After arriving at the lake I was told he mixed me up with someone else and didn't have a boat for me for Friday. We were excited for some boating and after getting the news I sent my group to the beach. He did reply back saying he would try to put something else together but I told him to just bring the boat tomorrow per the original plan. I didn't want to have my group waiting around for a different boat, wasting the day, if he couldn't find one. I then asked if we could be sure to get the boat at 9am since rain was due that afternoon. He said he would make that happen. I called at 8:50 to be sure the boat was coming and he said it had to be cleaned and would be there at 9:05. An hour later the boat was still not there. I was then called by the guys delivering telling me the boat broke down and they would have it over shortly. We got the boat at 10:10... As the chase boat pulled in to pick up the rental driver he crashes into the pontoon. The rental driver is yelling REVERSE! REVERSE! and BAM! Finally we have the boat! Fine... The boat... It was definitely an older model. The Bimini was destroyed, bent with big holes in it. I was told by the delivery guys to not use it and if we wanted one to head back to the company dock to get a new one put on.... We didn't bother... In addition the boat was pretty beat! probably 20+ years old. There was a big metal corner piece that was half ripped off right by the swim ladder. Finally, the boat also was delivered with a 1/2 tank. So why 3 stars vs 1 or 2... Jason seems like a real nice guy and I know it must have been a busy weekend for them. They threw in a paddle board for free and picked the boat up the morning after our rental ended, giving us some extra time with it. In addition they are one of the least expensive rental places on the lake. SO if you are looking for a cheaper option to get on the water, don't mind a much older boat and don't mind some hiccups in the delivery time frame, it's an ok option... I think there are some other rental places with brand new boats that are BEAUTIFUL. but also cost about 1.5x - 2x as much... I may give Jason and his crew a second shot but I think the 2x price tag for a new boat may be worth it.

We have rented from only a few places at SML. But 4 years ago we tried SMBR and we haven't went to another since. Jason and his company has been great, the rates are more than fair, the boats are well kept,great selection and their customer service is above and beyond. It's nice to drive 3 hours to get here and someone knows you by name. We will be back!!!
