My dad was accepted into Cannon Hospice. They took such good care of my him. I would come to see him and they had the positions correct to prevent break down and pressure points on his body. Positions such as, a pillow between his knees, and his body half rolled to prevent laying on his back too long. The staff was extremely nice and caring. I would absolutely recommend Cannon Hospice!

This is a very quiet, comfortable place to spend the last days with your loved one. They are there to help you keep them as comfortable as possible in your worst time. Liz, thank you for giving me a hug when you saw I needed one. Small things matter. Grest place. My Daddy may not have known he was even there and that was not a bad thing they did not let him hurt. Thank you so much for the care you all provided to my Mother during her last few days with us. I am so glad we found you when we did. I did not know that we had a hospice facility here on the coast. We were finally able to be just her children instead of caregivers her last few days. We appreciate ALL of you at Canon!!! I just received a beautiful card from you all. Words cannot express how much your facility and staff meant to us during her last few days on earth. We will be forever grateful!!

Everyone at Canon was amazing in the level of care they gave my mother in law. Their compassion, and understanding was such a great welcome during a very difficult time.

We can send our Nurse Practitioner out to assess the patient at home and have him sign a "Release of Medical Records" while they are there. Once the Nurse Practitioner has laid eyes on him and completed her assessment, she will fill out the necessary paperwork and relay her findings to one of our Medical Directors. The Medical Director will have to review the medical records once we receive them and then determine if the patient meets hospice criteria and/or a hospice recognized diagnosis. A hospice order must be written by a MD. Hope this helps and please feel free to call our office at 228-575-6251 should you require additional information or have additional questions. Thank you for your inquiry!
