Connecticut Parachutist Inc | Oct 9, 2018
Connecticut Parachutist Inc | Oct 9, 2018

Due to FAA regulation there can be no consumption of alcoholic beverages on the Dropzone while jumping operations are taking place, regardless of whether the individual is jumping or not. However, once the last load of skydivers for the day takes off alcohol is permitted.

Can I Bring Family/Friends/Pets to Watch my Jump?

Connecticut Parachutist Inc | Oct 9, 2018
Connecticut Parachutist Inc | Oct 9, 2018

Yes! We have a small viewing area where family and friends can sit to watch your take-off/landing and spend the wait time with you. There are a few picnic tables set up so feel free to bring snacks and games to pass the time. Children under 12 must be accompanied at all times by an adult who is not jumping. Pets must remain on the leash.

How long will I be there?

Connecticut Parachutist Inc | Oct 9, 2018
Connecticut Parachutist Inc | Oct 9, 2018

The jump process, including training, flying to altitude, the jump itself, and debriefing takes approximately one hour. However, several factors such as weather and aircraft can increase the wait time before your jump and therefore specific time slots cannot be guaranteed. We make every effort to minimize wait time, but it is common to be at the Dropzone between 3-4 hours. Scheduling your jump as early in the morning as possible will help decrease wait times, as delays tend to build throughout the day. We highly encourage making skydiving your main activity for the day.

What time should I arrive?

Connecticut Parachutist Inc | Oct 9, 2018
Connecticut Parachutist Inc | Oct 9, 2018

You should plan to arrive at the dropzone 15-30 minutes before your scheduled reservation time. This will provide time for you to check in with our staff and complete any missing paperwork prior to your reservation time. Skydives occur on a first come, first serve basis from when you check in. Arriving at the dropzone a little early will ensure an earlier spot in our queue

What should I wear?

Connecticut Parachutist Inc | Oct 9, 2018
Connecticut Parachutist Inc | Oct 9, 2018

Dress in clothes that are comfortable and appropriate for the weather. You will be provided with a jumpsuit you can wear over your clothes during the jump if you want. We highly recommend wearing sneakers. High-heels, open-toed shoes, sandals, tall boots, or shoes with hooks cannot be worn.

Is there a Weight Requirement?

Connecticut Parachutist Inc | Oct 9, 2018
Connecticut Parachutist Inc | Oct 9, 2018

We have a weight maximum of 230 lbs. Depending on the instructors available each day, we can potentially take higher weights, so please call before your jump if you are worried your weight may disqualify you. For individuals over 210 lbs, there is an additional $20 charge due at the time of your jump.

What is the Age Requirement?

Connecticut Parachutist Inc | Oct 9, 2018
Connecticut Parachutist Inc | Oct 9, 2018

You must be 18 years old or older in order to skydive; there are no exceptions. We will ask to see a valid photo ID (i.e. license, passport) at the time of your jump so we can verify your age. There is no age maximum.
