This is definitely a low to no frills park - but the kayak/canoe rollers are super close to the parking - short paddle to the river just like Eastern which is just a short distance away as the crow flies - just better quality water than Ellicott Creek this time of year... Great starting spot to go to the east on the canal and connect the dots with the other launches to take in the full Canal experience heading to Lockport and even beyond

Used this a few times. It's a very nice set up, with lots of folks taking advantage of it. Lots of great destinations from there - the canal, the creek, the river. Nice new portasan this season!

One of my all time favorites! Beautifully designed and thought out. There's a convenient staging area with grass. A great bike and walking path adjacent. Go east and you can explore Ellicott Creek Park and little islands. Go west and its unbelievable. Gateway Harbour and park. Restaurants. Bathrooms that ate accessible. Plenty of bridges for shade. Ice cream at Wardells boat yard were the boats get gas and odds and ends. Farther you've got the canal and Niagara River. The exploring is endless. Some interesting and fun challenging currents in these areas. You need to be careful the wind and large craft wakes can get crazy. Shores Restaurant is out there. The trip back either way is a lot of fun. Definitely a special launch for the area!👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
