This was a childhood staple when I grew up in Elmira Heights, my beloved hometown. There are doubtless thousands of films that have graced this screen and many of them rightful classics. It’s refreshing to have had an actual movie house proper so close to home as a kid. They just don’t make them like this, with such Art Deco determined finesse anymore. The theater has changed hands through the years, markedly the past decade or so. I really endorse the idea of an inclusive family themed theater, but I felt it sort of short changed the ability for all types of genre films and some subsequent classics to land their debut. I look forward to catching a flick here one day, hopefully soon. The last time I was here was for a very cool special screening of “The Goonies”. That was a truly great experience and one where family friendly and film community experience converge. A great theater with grand decor and a truly rewarding experience!

The charm of this place is fantastic. I dig the old school feel, and it's nice to take a break from the overly-frilly places to get back to just enjoying a movie with some friends :) I also dig the tables!

Went here for our first time the other day! Loved it! We got 2 tickets, popcorn, a drink and candy for only $20!!! Very cheap prices and very nice staff! Tables in front of the seats made it easy for my daughter to enjoy the movie and get snacks! We bought 6 more tickets for $20! Very excited for our next visit!!!

We love going downtown to the local theater. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The "oldies" movies on Sundays for $2.00 are so much fun! People laugh outloud and clap when the good guy wins. And the best part - the prices are so cheap. For $20.00, you get 2 tickets, popcorn, soda and candy. Can't beat it! Check it out!
