I had a previous laparoscopic procedure, by another surgeon, prior to meeting Dr. Shah. The comparison of my recovery between the two surgeries was like night and day. It was a virtually pain-free experience with Dr. Shah; some minor soreness was all I felt. That was not the case with my previous surgery. I was in pretty severe pain during recovery. Out of the 12 lymph nodes needed by my oncologist from my colectomy, Dr. Shah removed 69. My oncologist said that the procedure could not have gone more perfectly. He was thorough in his explanation of the procedure during our office consultation. His staff were wonderful and they scheduled my surgery as I was leaving his office. He was attentive during the post-op care while I was in the hospital and that has continued after I was released. Hopefully if I ever need another surgery in the future, Dr. Shah would be willing to handle it; I would travel out of state to be in his care. I highly recommend him.
