My daughter and friends were given a “warning” that the lake was for Whispering Pines residents only! The warning will stay on file for a year and if they return, they will be ticketed. They need to have visible signage or charge a fee or something. How uppity can you be? Glad we moved to a place parks are for everyone. Yes, I know upkeep has a cost. So why not charge a parking fee. It is under utilized by whispering pines residents so let others contribute and be able to use it also?!?

If you are geting ticketed at this public park, its be cause you are answering questions. Don't talk to the cops if they approach you at this park. NC is not a stop and ID state. Otherwise its a great place to hang out. Glad I bought and paid "tax" on sadwich Locally.

Good public lake park to visit and enjoy water activities. It has a large shed with picnic tables and fans with view of the lake. There is a kids play area with swings and slides.

Yes in designated areas
I mean. I don't know about horse power restriction. But there is a speed limit for the water. I think it's 15mph.
Swimming is allowed. There is a designated swimming area. Restrictions are that you need to be a Whispering Pines resident to utilize. Or at least that's how it has been in the past.
Residents of WhisperingPines.
