I arrived there at 9:30am without an appointment, I was the only one in the building. I was expecting a line out the door. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Quick and easy, was in and out within 5 minutes. Wish I could say the same about the MVC.....

Don’t let the bad comments influence you. You got to go early like around 8:30 am and they start letting people in around 8:50 am. Was there last week without an appointment around 8:40 waited in line like 10 minutes, and got done within 10 minutes. Make sure you bring all documents with you, also if you want to setup an appointment you can do that as well on site.

This place is a TOTAL JOKE! Got here at 1:30 PM on Monday afternoon only to find out they are only letting 6 people inside at a time. Everybody else is made to stand outside in the sweltering 95-degree heat and humidity. The old people outside in line are on the verge of passing out. All for what? Public health??? Explain to me how it is “healthy” for 70 and 80 year olds to be made to stand outside in extreme heat when there is MORE THAN ENOUGH ROOM INSIDE TO WAIT!!!!! And this is an agency that largely handles DISABLED PEOPLE! I hope someone passes out and SUES THEM!!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!!!

You can't. They only make appointments for more serious issues( their words). You can only do it by mailing them the name change application along with the necessary paperwork that they need. Make sure your mail is certified since you re gonna be mailing important original documents(like birth certs or passport).

It would still take approximately 2 weeks to get the card mailed to you. They don't print them out the same day you apply for it.
You can request to be removed. It's probably easiest and fastest to go to the office and request to do so
