If you call to speak to this company in North Carolina, you will never be able to get an American on the phone who you are able to understand. I guess their mobile customer service is sourced out to India? I'm only able to understand a few words, and even when resorting to having them spell out what they are saying, it is still hard to understand. Having a whole conversation that goes like this... H as in happy. Pause. E as in elephant. Pause. L as in lamp. Pause. L as in lamp. Pause. O as in orange. Pause. It's hard to follow. I honestly feel like bcbs actually doesn't want their customers to understand their policies or to be able to ask questions. Crafty! You will also get different answers from different people each time you call. One time it'll be, yes you have dental and yes they'll cover implants. Go to the dentist and your turned away. The next it's, you only have pediatric dental. When no one on our policy is a child. It just seems like every single time you deal with a business these days, it's always something and it's never pleasant!

Horrible insurance. They tell doctors what medication they should prescribe even after your doctor disagrees. As if they are doctors when all they care about is $. My husband has to try 20 different medications before they will consider covering the medication he has been on for over a decade, that works. The cost of our premium is absurd and you get next to nothing in benefits. BCBS is a gross joke. If you have other options go with any of them but BCBS I guarantee you will hate them.
