I saw a lot of recent bad reviews before going tonight and just hoped it would surpass expectations. Turns out the bad reviews are pretty spot on. I made a 5:45 reservation since I went with my two year old son and we waited 25 minutes before even being seated (and literally no employee was even present for the first 5-10 minutes). We then waited another 25 minutes to order. We ended up leaving at 7:45 and there’s just no reason we needed to be there for even close to two hours, especially since we asked for the check as soon as the mains had been served. The food was tasty, which is why I’m not giving it one star, but the operations and customer service at this location are both truly awful. Our server was trying his best but was stretched way too thin and therefore used plates and bowls just piled up on the table, waters never came, orders were messed up, etc. During our many periods of waiting, my wife and I saw there are multiple other hibachi restaurants in the area with pretty good reviews, so we’ll try one of those next time. It’s a shame because the food was still good and Benihana is so nostalgic for us, but this location is horribly managed!

My experience at this location was mediocre from beginning to end. To start, I was given an estimate of a 15 minute wait to be seated. I am well aware that these estimates can vary, but the originally projected 15 min. wait was easily 30 minutes. After calling the receptionist to inquire if I could have an update, I was immediately instructed to come inside and be seated. To me, this is a clear indicator that my reservation was probably forgotten or ignored. We proceeded to be seated and my hopes remained high despite the extended wait time. Our server Aliyah was extremely sarcastic, rude, inattentive, slow and generally appeared to have no enthusiasm whatsoever. She did not inquire if we needed refills, did not remove any of the empty appetizer plates to make room for entrees, and was generally unavailable for any requests. The chicken dumplings were more dumpling than chicken and were mediocre. The entrees were pretty good, but despite his best efforts, our chef really did not possess the flair or personality one would come to expect from a hibachi experience. The table next to us had a great time, and I wish that I could have shared in their enthusiasm. To make matters even worse, the waitress behind us appeared to be involved in a dispute over the tip she received from her table and was extremely vocal about her displeasure, which was extremely tacky. It was painfully obvious that the Management has no control over his staff and that they are incredibly untrained and lack professionalism. The staff appeared to be young, so this is somewhat expected, but still is no excuse. I give this location 2 stars for our chef Pablo's honest attempt to ensure that the food was flavorful and properly prepared, but the rest of the experience was horrendous. I do not plan to ever return here and would advise anyone reading this to avoid this location, or to maybe try during lunch when it is less busy. But even that is a risk lol.
