They used to have little bbq's there tho that I'd always see people using during the warmer months with their families and everything. Not sure if they are gone or done with the use of them, but you could always prepack and do a nice little picnic. =)

Brick Township’s 25th Summerfest is on July 4 at Windward Beach. A 7 p.m. concert will be followed by fireworks at dark. Free shuttle buses will be available from 5 p.m. from the following locations: Brick Township High School, Drum Point Elementary School, Veterans Memorial Middle School, Midstreams Elementary School and Brick Memorial High School (BMHS July 4th only). Last bus to Windward at 8 p.m.; return trips begin at 9 p.m.

From the Brick Twp web site: "The Township is once again operating a free shuttle bus service to Windward Beach Park from locations throughout the Township for concerts. “We encourage anyone coming to SummerFest to consider using the shuttle buses. There is limited parking at Windward Beach and it fills up quickly,” said Mayor Ducey. Shuttle buses begin leaving from Midstreams Elementary School, Drum Point Elementary School, Veterans Memorial Middle School and the Brick Township High School Parking lot at 5 p.m. Brick Memorial High School will be used as a shuttle bus location for the July 4 concert only. Return trips to the parking locations from Windward Beach begin at 9 p.m. Any person under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult." So, unless you arrive very early (like now) chances are slim to none for finding a parking space. The shuttles are easy and convenient.

Not to enter the park but I believe there is a charge if you want to get on the beach area.
