I love the Y. Most classes, especially Mary’s step, are simply the very best. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the Barre classes taught by Hope. She doesn’t understand that the attendees are paying her hourly rate as well as her free gym membership. She isn’t customer service oriented whatsoever. If an attendee turns the fans on..leave them on!! Don’t go behind the attendee and turn them off…not once….but three times during a single class. She needs to know or be told that people of all ages attend the classes and some of us are older..especially women…and we get hot very easily. How frustrating to have her turn off three times in one class resulting in the attendee having to turn on again and again. What gives? It is understood that muscles do better in warmer temperatures, but do you want women above 50 to pass out or just leave on the fans? I don’t think the Y would’ve installed the fans if they weren’t meant to be used. Hope is also borderline rude. The world isn’t all about her! Y administration, please have a discussion with her. I almost just left the class because I was so upset.

I have been a member of the Y in Ohio for over 40 years. One of my favorite places to visit is Kingsport Tenn. . When I visit family in Kingsport I come to the Y. The staff and facilities are great. I count it a blessing to dome to a exercise facility where Christianity is promoted. God Bless !!

It depends. They are pretty expensive but they do have "scholarships" for those who qualify financially. It's a great place and worth the money.
I went to the front desk at the Y and got a financial assistance application, went home and filled it out and returned it. It was easy to fill out and it tells you exactly what you need to bring in with you as proof of income. If you're household income is under a certain amount then you will qualify. Me, my husband, and our two kids pay $40 a month for our family membership.I believe regular price for family is around $80 per month but I'm not certain about that. Hope this helps!
Sadly it's normal hours but they do something in the gym around 11am? I'm not sure what that is. The hours are Mon-Thurs...4:00-8:30p Friday...4:00-7:00p Saturday...8:00a-1:00p Sunday...1:30-4:30p
Im really not sure however if you call and speak with Erin, Kayla, or Mark they are very helpful
I know they offer a wide variety of classes and age matters with a lot. However if I don't get to call before you do downloading the app shows classes that they do teach. My life 13 year old daughter is able to be a company and go upstairs to use the weights and or attend any exercise classes.
Yes both
Yes
I believe it is $10. It's cheaper to buy a membership.
Go to their website
It is based on your income but mine is like $10
Yes, you will be able to enter any YMCA in the country.
Randi, The Y offers financial assistance for membership and almost all programs. You will need to complete an application, which can be found here: http://www.ymcakpt.org/social-re/financial-assistan/. Thanks!
If you have Medicare and you have taken a insurance policy that assists the Medicare, and includes the program Silver Sneakers, gets YMCA membership and/ or uses of MANY GYMS nationwide and use of the pools, but not the Aquatic classes, those are extra costs...$5/ class or less depending on age, or a monthly amount that gives you unlimited access to aquatic exercise classes.
No. There's reduced price memberships for qualified people, but nothing free.
