Let me start by saying every single vet I've come across here has been excellent. Dr Ng, Dr Zeilenski, and Dr Tierney are all wonderful people. They answer all questions patiently and kindly. I have always felt their love of animals was strong, and really trust my cat with them. The reason for the 3 stars is that the front desk workers/receptionists can be extremely rude depending on who you get. My interactions have usually been pleasant, but there are some instances where it feels like people are being catty. Most recently, after seeing the vet and being told that they would call me with my cat's results, I waited around in one of the small rooms for a bit and wasn't sure whether or not I was free to go. I went up to the front desk to ask if I was allowed to go and was told to go back to the examination room to wait there. Fair enough, I went back and waited. My card was taken and charged. However, when I tried to sit on a chair and wait in the main reception for a car to take my cat home, I was asked by an older blonde receptionist to wait outside because 'what he has might be contagious.' My cat was in a fully enclosed backpack carrier and had already been treated for ringworm for the past three weeks. Given that many of the receptionists did not have masks on, there were dogs waiting on leashes besides me without any carriers, and other cats in far more open carriers, it feels hard to believe that contagion was her main concern. I even walked by a cat in an exam room with the door fully open. I can only think that she felt offended that I unknowingly tried to check out at the front desk, which is what happens at every human doctor's office, and has never been an issue when I checked out at animal general in the past (at the front desk almost every time). This may have threatened her sense of authority. Well, she regained that authority when she asked me to leave to wait outside, and I obliged. I will be moving soon and will most likely switch veterinarians because I don't enjoy being treated like this. That being said, other receptionists (I believe his name is Angel) are incredibly friendly and nice. Otherwise, if you live in the area, Animal General has great veterinarians.

An exam is $75, which includes a 30 minute appointment time with the veterinarian to answer all your questions and a full head to tail physical. Price depends on which vaccine you need and generally ranges from $35 - $40 each.
A regular visit is $75. Any additional work is and meds are extra, depending on the procedures. Overall, I find them to be reasonable and upfront, and never pushing any unnecessary drugs or procedures.
They do
