This place should not be allowed to use the term rehab in their name. There is NO rehab here. It is nothing but a nursing home, which is fine but they should not misrepresent themselves as more. My mom was here for rehab for 2 weeks and further deteriorated. Therapy was non existent for various excuses provided by the facility. They attempted to discharge her home while she was still immobile and unable to even walk to bathroom. I had her transferred to Aristacare and she was given the care she needed and was able to regain previous level of mobility. She ended up having to stay there a month because of the deterioration that occurred at Promedica. If I had not made that transfer she would have ended up in a long term care facility due to the lack of rehab here. They also waited until the day of transfer to do critical evaluations that should have been done upon intake to update chart prior to transfer. Don't let the aesthetis of this place fool you. Don't make the same mistake I initially did and send your loved one elsewhere if rehab and recovery is the goal! They will NOT provide that here!!

1. Howard, the gentleman who is the head of guest services is very kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. When my fragile 94-year-old father visited, Howard went out of his way to meet him and made him feel comfortable. When dad wanted hot chocolate even though it was 90° outside Howard made sure he got one. Dad said it was the best hot chocolate he ever had and praised Howard to the moon! I had an issue a few days after my surgery. Howard stopped in to say hello and bring me a newspaper. I shared my problem with him and he listened to me VERY carefully. He assured me that he would take care of the problem. Within minutes he resolved the issue and returned to my room to update me. The next day he checked up on me and assured me that my comfort and needs were of the utmost importance to him and ProMedica. He is truly a committed employee and a wonderful asset to ProMedica. More importantly he has a caring heart and it was my upmost pleasure to have crossed paths with him. 2. In my opinion the most important person during my 14 day stay was Maddie my room aid. She made me feel secure & comfortable and helped me keep my dignity when I was in a very vulnerable condition. When I asked for her help she always complied with a smile and a “can do”attitude. She always asked me if I needed anything else and would anticipate my needs. She always said “I got this” and indeed she always did. One example was when I was particularly anxious on being ready for an outside appointment which was early in the morning. She had me washed, dressed and fed in plenty of time so I was able to relax. She is an exemplary employee and such a tremendous asset for ProMedica. I highly recommend that Maddie would be a wonderful instructor for training aids. She is A #1, the very best in her field. 3. All the PT’s & OT’s were tremendous. I progressed from a helpless person to becoming stronger & independent. I could not have done this without their expertise. They all were caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. ProMedica should be proud of their therapy team. All of the above were my very positive experiences. Not everything was positive about my stay.I hope to address those issues at some point.

If I could put a zero stars I would. I had my mother there and her experience was horrible

The look of the place is very nice, however it very much seemed like no one knew what they were doing. Every single day when I’d come to visit my mom, they would have issues running out off supplies or even bed sheets! Not to mention fecal matter that was left for hours on end on my mothers floor on and on sheets without anyone coming to get them or cleaning it up. Some people were nice but overall extremely unprofessional and lack of overall knowledge was very concerning.
