This is the biggest library l have ever been. Located in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale, it has eight floors. There are many computers to use, as well as places to charge your phone or laptop. They re-opened on November 16. I first went there on October 1, 2020 but they were closed due to civil. I went there again on December 1, 2020 two months later and they were open.

The library was great nice and clean computer room staff was nice but there was a security guard who watched me lock my bike to a out of the way trash receptacle as there was no visible bike racks in the area. He followed me to the front desk 2nd floor where I was applying for a library card berating me in front of several people saying he would cut my lock and throw my belongings in the trash. He could have easily asked me to move it in the first place

Things have gotten better at the library now that the construction is finished. Sadly the the palm trees in the atrium have probably seen much better days. As far as libraries go the stacks are pretty well maintained and the librarians are very helpful, although the front desk staff can be a little surly. If you use the ILL service make sure to check your return dates as often they will arrive overdue. Make sure to stop in the bookshop, I've added to my collection of fiction and classical music for mere pennies.

Yes, there are parking meters, and also a series of parking garages, which is also nearby (notably a parking garage on South East 2nd Street cross street NW 1st Avenue adjacent from the Broward County Government Building). Have a great day.
Yes you can go to website for the library to request virtual Library card. Enjoy 😊
There are only two sections inside the library with Mac computers. One is the creation station, which is located on the first floor near the elevator, and the teen center, which is on the third floor but is age restricted.
I haven't had a problem with them they put working on it when it is out of order
Saturday hours are 10am to 6pm
The library is only open for drive up service. Please call or go online to request your desired item. Call your nearest branch for more information.

Hello Banana, BCL system will resume regular business hours as of tomorrow.
Yes. Check the 2nd floor information desk for more info.
Go into any Broward library and fill out the application. Bring your ID too.
Sometimes. Or if you travel you can mail them back certified, registered mail.
I don't work there. Go to their website or call them to find out.
Sure. $0.15 a page.
The library will be closed July 4th. It will reopen Thursday, July 5th.
Sure, it does, by the thousands.
Unfortunately, it's paid parking garage right next to library, connected by a walk bridge. If you are going to be quick you could risk it by not paying, but that is up to you.
Well, I had to investigate myself. I can tell you that every Wednesday from 6.30 a group of people interested in learning English meet and a teacher gives classes. It is a bit informal but everyone talks to each other, she asks herself and the teacher distributes material to study and helps a lot. Go!!! You will have a good time
There's no free parking near the library since it's a downtown area. Paid parking is available on the street and in the garage east of the library building for $1.25/hr.
No.
There is an adjacent multilevel parking lot with a pedestrian bridge connecting to the library. Access in the 2nd level.
