It saddens me to write this review because the first time we ate there several months ago it was so good. We took my Mom for her birthday on 8/13/2022 because she loves the oysters. When we got there it was very warm inside, and it really was not that busy but it took about 20 minutes to get seated. The waitress brought our drinks and again about 20 minutes later came to take our order. Here is where it turns south. No oysters, no clams, no so I ended up with shrimp and mom with scallops. Now let's talk about this soup and grits bar. The grits were raw and cold and that soup they had was watered down tomatoes and it was awful. When I told the waitress the grits were raw and cold she said she would look into it. She came back and said someone had unplugged the crock pot which I find very hard to believe I think they forgot to plug it up. She said it's plugged in now, but I I said they are still raw and cold she said I'll tell the kitchen and that was it. No can I get you something else no even trying to make it right. My shrimp were very undercooked and mushy. My mom got 6 scallops on a paper plate my husband's grilled shrimp were charred. Very overpriced for what we got. The service was not good at all. So disappointed that what was supposed to be a special birthday dinner for my mom was just awful. Will not be going back

I find it very hard to believe, (based on my experience) , that this restaurant has a 4.6 rating. My daughter actually boasted about how good our lunch was going to be! We ( my daughter, a friend and myself)were seated rather quickly; one of the Few pluses. After being seated, our waitress took our drink order. (I had to ask her for separate tickets, because she didn't ask.) I then asked if we could also place our dinner order, to which she replied yes. I ordered the platter, which gave me 3 choices of seafood. Several choices were scratched through. When I asked for flounder,, that was on the menu, but not available. I asked for baked potato, again not available. I ended up with scallops, shrimp, and crab cake.. My daughter ordered the Special of the day, hamburger steak with sides and dessert. My friend ordered shrimp. Our seafood was undercooked! When we mentioned this to our server, she stated,"that's the way it's cooked! It had NO Seasoning!! Tasteless! My friend ended up ordering a piece of the hamburger steak. There was a bar with lumpy grits, warm tomato soup? No hushpuppies. At the end of this meal, the waitress brought our tickets. I had to remind her that my daughters meal came with a dessert.. To say I was Very disappointed, is an understatement! Especially since I had enjoyed a wonderful seafood dinner 2 days prior in another town. I gave a rating of 1 star, because I liked the view! Ive noticed that most good reviews are from a year or 2 ago. Under different owners...

Only one complaint was because they were out of clamstrips and it was the birthday guest's favorite side item.
