Really enjoyed the beachfront unit we rented. Didn't necessarily enjoy the smoking of the next door renter. Supposed to be non smoking units.

The breakers is right on the beach! It is an older building but very nice and very clean. We were on the third level which meant many stairs for us but that made us feel better about all the great food we ate while on Hilton Head. Those cinnamon rolls at Carolina Coffee and Crum are the real deal! We would gladly go back to the breakers again.

Pools nice, weathers great, right by the beach. Rooms not bad, bed is kinda small think it's a Full Size, no oven, AIR conditioner worked great.

We were there the 13th-19th and they hadn't got it in yet.
Seasonally, you can rent them directly from the lifeguards on the beach. You would have to check with them concerning their pricing.
