Love my stylist!! Kristen is the best! Store is laid out well and staff is always available for help!! Unfortunately she is gone now. I don't think they really treated their employees well. I will miss her.

I would like to report an event that occurred on Monday, October 18th 2021 at approximately 6 to 7:30 pm. I was at the South County location, Address: 4120 Elm Park Dr, St. Louis, MO 63123, which is the closet location to my home. I was there with my two babies in a stroller. I was shopping around looking for contour, when one of the employees helping another customer came and leaned over my babies to reach for a product that was right next to me and bumped my babies in the stroller, so hard the stroller bounced into me. Then, the young lady just brought the other customer the product and didn’t say anything to me. I saw the young lady again, while I was shopping and I said to her, “You know you bumped my babies when you were getting that product for that customer earlier.” The employee stated, “I was just trying to stay out of your way.” To which I responded, “It’s not a matter of staying out of my way, it’s a matter of using your manners to say excuse me and not bumping into my babies.” The young lady, then stormed off to the back room and I asked the young lady working the front check-out, what was that young lady’s name and the cashier, said “We are not allowed to tell you, our names.” I said to the young lady, that’s fine, I need to speak with your manager.” So, when the manager came out, I explained to her in depth the situation.” The manager stated, “She told me and she’s in the back now crying, I hope that you’re happy.” I said, “I’m not happy about her crying, I am upset that she bumped into my children and didn’t say anything, not sorry or excuse me.” The manager then reiterated that, “I hope that you are happy, she’s in the back crying.” I stated, “I am not happy about her crying, I am upset that my children were bumped, and I honestly don’t think its appropriate for you to tell me about her crying, I am the customer.” Then the manager just walked off, I asked her, “What is your name?” and the manager turned back and stated, “It doesn’t matter”, and she just continued walking into the back room. I am a nurse and have been very busy these past years, because we are short- staffed and I don’t get many days to go out. I used to enjoy going to UltaBeauty, it was a place where I could escape and shop around and find make-up that matched my skin tone, but since this day I have not visited another location, because I am so afraid and concerned that I will have another poor customer service experience as I did this day. This event was the worst customer experience that I have ever had at any establishment. I believe that this establishment would benefit substantially from customer service training, as well as, diversity training.

I went in today to get hair care products. I had my baby with me and had to bring the stroller since I knew we would be getting so much. Unfortunately the isles are so incredibly close together we could not get back to the hair section. I know this isn’t the place for babies and strollers however it got me thinking. Someone in a wheelchair or even someone using a walker would not be able to get around in the store at all. There definitely could be work done on merchandising in order to be more inclusive.
