I can't say enough great things about Upstate! I live in WV and my father and step mother live in SC. I found them online and looked at all of their services. I was impressed that they were one of the few I found that not only services my father's area, pretty rural, but also helps one apply for your parent's VA benefits! I was immediately called back by James Bennett, the owner of Upstate, and it was after hours. He was so friendly and caring, and I could tell he was very flexible with my family's situation. I was dealing with some blended family issues, and each and every home care giver was friendly, very qualified, and my father really was well taken care of. All of both families live hours away from my father and stepmother, and they were always there, checking in. I worked very closely with Veronica Stoddard and she had a great sense of humor with every drama we threw her way! I can't even imagine how we could have taken such great care of our parents with us being so far away! Larissa was always there for me if Veronica was away, and Veronica always got back to me, no matter how late in the day. Everyone at Upstate cares, they really do. I always felt so comforted knowing I didn't have to worry about Dad with them around. I cannot say enough about them. Really, if you need anyone to help your family with homecare, you MUST call Upstate first. Also, I was in the area last July, and made my way over to their offices to bring them treats and finally meet them in person. Just as nice and friendly as they were on the phone. It was so good to finally meet them! They are really caring. Call them.

These guys went above and beyond with the care of my grandmother. We were at peace all throughout each day knowing she was in great hands. I would highly, highly recommend them to anyone!

Beware! They were referred by VA to help bath my dad and when they began we has a person just not show and charged VA then they provide a superior guy CNA who was wonderful with dad. But after dad going to hospital and rehab it took a month to restart and just 2 weeks after the person did not show or call. The office said she got more hours and no one called me. So now no help again. Very unprofessional and bad communication. It seems these agencies need to focus on the scheduling and communication. Caregivers lifeline is help.
