DO NOT purchase appliances from Sears. When your appliance breaks (and it will at under 2 years old) they refer you to “Sears parts direct” where everything shows available however it is not. Everything anyone needs is on back order indefinitely. I called to see if there are replacement parts that is not on back order, they sent me the wrong part that does not fit my appliance (probably doesn’t fit any appliance) I escalated the issue to a “manager” and they said the manufacturer cannot give a time for the part to available. I have a refrigerator that is less than two years old that will not cool and needs a control board that they may not make again. I called the Sears store- there is nothing they can or will do. I even asked if we could pull parts off a fridge they had in stock, also no. Nobody can help or will help. I will probably be forced to purchase another refrigerator and not be compensated in any way. Buy your appliances from Lowe’s or Home Depot! You’ve been warned.
