I have been a patient there three times, but at that time it was new. I had no real complaints BUT my family was constantly visiting. The staffing was very sparse especially on week ends. OT and PT was very attentive with a beautiful pool. It is so important to flatter them with “sugar, precious, etc”. Sad that it has to be that way. At that time it was clean. Food was OK, just institutional, which should be expected. Most unusual elevator but realize it was an advantage for the residents. I always have the phone number to the conscientious lady with the state in my phone and do not hesitate to call her. She never is sure of a problem unless she is notified. Not sure how her genuine, gracious, and sincere attitude is maintained! It is connect to Stevens Park NH. Older institution but about the same situation.

My grandmother was admitted to Harrington Park post a hip replacement surgery in 2018. She complained about lack of help from staff, which we witnessed during her time there and she filed formal complaints about. Her wound opened and began weeping during her stay. We were told it was being tended to. She received routine blood draws during her time here - all draws (we didn't physically see the lab results at the time) showed an increase in white blood cells (which can be a sign of infection). No follow up labs were done. The NP or physician noted a mental decline, but chalked it up to old age and possible dementia. Less than 2 days after she left the facility, she collapsed and was admitted with sepsis that had already passed the blood/brain barrier. She passed several weeks later. A completely avoidable death due to plain negligence. I even called (very nicely) and spoke to the administration to have the facility look into the event - I wanted to ensure this didn't happen to another family. After my initial call and request for an investigation - they refused to accept or return my calls.

They know there are thieves working there, and dont seem to care. That's really low to steal from a dead person. We lost a lot, in the last 3 places where Mom was. Nice blankets, her watch, a microwave... Wouldn't allow me to see Mom for 9 mos. She died there with no family next to her. That's NOT good care!
