Staff is very nice and professional. Ive never had to wait more than 10 minutes. I see Elena Klimbal for medication management and I'm very happy with her. I have no complaints about anything.

After reading all these terrible reviews I was extremely nervous to go for my first visit here but I was pleasantly surprised. I found the whole staff to be friendly and Elena Klimbal NP was helpful and very easy to talk to. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because of how long it actually took to get the appointment.

The doctors are awful. Very little concern with what you, as a patient, are actually going through. I was told the side effects I was feeling were not important. Nor were other symptoms I was experiencing — though they affected my every day life. The physician was completely dismissive. He also interrupted me numerous times, making it clear that how I felt and the other options I wanted to consider were of no significance to him. The physician also refused to see me in a reasonable amount of time to follow up. 12 weeks. 12 weeks is not a reasonable amount of time to follow up with someone who has continued to experience symptoms of depression and worsening side effects of a medication. And, no, it was not a new medication that I was trying to “see if it works”. I had been on it for over 6 months, a good amount of time, because I wanted it to work, but finally decided I needed to change since the side effects were so disruptive. After three visits, one with the NP, and the others with a psychiatrist where I was dismissed, interrupted, and invalidated, I couldn’t go anymore. It took months for me to get that first appointment with a psychiatrist. Which wouldn’t be as frustrating if MGC didn’t have the completely unnecessary step after being referred by my PC, of having ANOTHER preliminary appointment where I met with an NP who did nothing other than act as a “gatekeeper” to the psychiatrist. After waiting all that time I couldn’t believe how bad of a physician the psychiatrist turned out to be. I am not the only one who has had this kind of experience here and can’t believe how poor the quality of care — if you can call it that — the psychiatrists in Spartanburg provide. Because I move frequently I have had to transfer to different psychiatrists every new city I live in, and thus have seen a few. This practice and the psychiatrist I saw is the worst one I have ever been to.

I regret wasting my time with this place. I would have been better off treating myself. SANDY so called practice manager she IS LAZY DOESNT CALL YOU BACK , when you have an issue they tell you to call her and she will NEVER CALL YOU. Kristin klimbal is horrible , she very judge mental and in no place to be treating patient who suffer from mental illness. She asked me what do I want her to do ? I don’t know you tell me your the so called psychiatrist!! Front staff is rude !! the only nice and caring people are the intake nurses. Please anyone thinking or going here i don’t recommend my depression actually worsen seeing them I felt terrible and less of a human being. I don’t usually leave reviews. But I couldn’t take it but I’m trying to help people who need real help !!!!! Greenville psychiatrist are probably who you need to lean to. NOT THIS These people only want a paycheck they don’t care go somewhere else

Dr. Weaver is a very good doctor and is helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to psychiatry needs. Also the therapist Dr. Williams is great as well. He also is good to talk to when you need someone to talk to and that will listen and understand. Also the staff are very welcoming and friendly. I got a doctor's referral to come here, so im not sure if a doctor referral is required.hope this helps...
