This place is great. I’ve been coming here for years now and recently bought a new Jamis bike from them. Although the shop was really busy they took the time to answer questions for me and helped me choose the right bike. They’ve often helped me with minor bike issues and I’ve been able to ride off the same day with only a small/fair charge. Anyway, I just wanted to write this because I’m very pleased with the Janis and because it’s my favorite bike shop in the area.

The best shop in town - that's all there is too it. They are honest and inovative. At a time when parts are hard to find, Merritt and his team can figure something out. Their solution may not be by the book or even the part that is listed for your bike. But whatever they come up with will be as good or better than the spec sheet called for. They will get your bike back to you as soon as they can. This is very important: thier techs have been there forever. James knows what he is doing. You will notice alot of shops seem to have a continual rotation of help. The owner stays the same, the techs to not. This is not the case at Recycles, they keep good people that are great at what they do. This may be a long review: I have my reasons. As an assistant coach on a local mountian bike team, I have heard my share of horror stories from team members and parents that have been overcharged, can't get their bikes back, bikes inoperable when recieved, no communication form shop and on and on. None of that will happen at Recycles. It is so rare to run into competencey today - support them. One more thing; when you go in the shop there may be a man talking to himslef and hanging around. Merrit has made a commitment to serving the mentally ill community in Grennsboro and fixing their bikes for free. He stated to me, "For alot of them, a bike is the only way they get around." for a few of them, the shop is a place to feel safe...and they stop by, sometimes for extended periods of time... this tells you alot about Merritt.

Used bikes range from $150 to $500 depending on the style and build level. We also have a vast amount of inventory in our basement that we can get built up custom towards your needs and desires.
